Intricately woven from natural horse-hair, the body of this Birkin displays a lovely pattern of neutral hues that weave together and form this hard-to-find vintage material known as Crinoline. Discontinued over a decade ago, this style of woven hairs from a horse’s tail is paired here in a 35cm Birkin with Etoupe Clemence leather and Palladium hardware, making for an Hermes bag even more deeply rooted in equestrian heritage than most. Carefully maintained, this bag is a deep-cut from the archives of vintage Birkins, an unusual piece that becomes rarer and rarer each year.
